RYD lured by red herring.

[31: The Editing of Savitri—This whole Theory of Authentication and Approval by RY Deshpande on Wed 26 Oct 2011 03:30 AM http://www.mirroroftomorrow.org/blog/_archives/2011/10/26/4921410.html#1540252
Here is one which says, Nirodbaran and Amal Kiran had been responsible for “all” the editions of Savitri up to the present Revised Edition. This itself looks strange when we look at the first edition of Savitri that came out in 1950-51. At that time there was absolutely no question of anybody being there to edit Savitri, anybody editing Savitri when the author himself was present.]

RYD, it seems, has exhausted his defence of the new print of the old edition. An old hand and an insider, he can claim a neutral position no longer, however. Looks like Helios is hell bent to play a dirty game in this regard and it's a pity that RYD was lured by the red herring.

Savitri, admittedly, is an incomplete poem as certain portions have not received the needed revision. Hence, to say it is approved by the author appears as window dressing. It is hoped that Savitri will be spared of any further kite flying. [TNM55]
