Sri Aurobindo's volcanic key to the Veda

Kala Tattva Kosha published by IGNCA lists nearly 500 Sanskrit texts in comparison to which The Seven Quartets is like a drop in the ocean. All its terms come from the tradition and there is nothing so spectacular about the formulations. Sri Aurobindo unraveling the secret of the Veda rather constitutes a volcanic event before which rest of his output pale. Those who are unable to accept the divine manifestation of Sri Aurobindo and are eager to present a rags-to-riches story may carry on their project. But since the divinity of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is an unimpeachable fact for the devotees, this talk of their progressive sadhana etc. is nothing but amusing juvenile curiosity.

That said, it also seems riddle-some why the triple transformation only be accorded such primacy. There are various other formulae such as the five psychological perfections, twelve powers of The Mother, or even Nama-Japa. Considering their accessibility, they should receive more attention than high ontological taxonomy of consciousness. [TNM55]
