Return to rationality

Churchill said "Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time." The same can also be said about rationality since irrational or infra-rational behaviour is hardly dependable and the intuitional or supra-rational is no better. Hazare's flip-flop has caused acute consternation within his team and the nation is watching in bewilderment. Many good people like Gurcharan and Gopinath have endorsed this movement, but their motivation derives from their own thirst for transformation. Hence, to gloss over how the build up of this movement exposed the soft underbelly of our young democracy will be dangerous.

To heal the propensity of our people to succumb to emotional manipulation through media management, therefore, is of primary importance. Return to rationality is essential in order to save this nation from Mandir type mass mobilisations. Hazare, despite his good intentions, has legitimised a Fascist tendency in the country in the 21st Century. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo had fought Hitler during the World War II; and Savitri Era Party rededicates itself to resist his recurring legacy. [TNM55]
